Summary

This 90-minute course is designed to help those teaching A level physics with limited access to

practicals because of the current health and safety guidelines for schools. It is also ideal for those

new to teaching A level or those in need of a refresher. It aims to give participants confidence in

teaching the skills normally acquired through A level physics experiments including handling

variables and uncertainty, graphing and analysis. Ideas for online resources, simulations and

virtual labs will be shared.

Outcomes

You will be able to:

  • Equip your students with some of the skills they would have acquired through practical work

  • Gain awareness of some useful resources which will supplement or substitute of real experimentation

  • Be more equipped with suggestions to help motivate students while practicals remain challenging.

This course has been able to run for FREE due to funding secured by Kent & Medway SLP however if you book and do not attend the course please note there will be a *£25 fee for non-attendance.
