Developing practical skills - virtually RM298 / B14
Summary
This 90-minute course is designed to help those teaching A level physics with limited access to
practicals because of the current health and safety guidelines for schools. It is also ideal for those
new to teaching A level or those in need of a refresher. It aims to give participants confidence in
teaching the skills normally acquired through A level physics experiments including handling
variables and uncertainty, graphing and analysis. Ideas for online resources, simulations and
virtual labs will be shared.
Outcomes
You will be able to:

Equip your students with some of the skills they would have acquired through practical work

Gain awareness of some useful resources which will supplement or substitute of real experimentation

Be more equipped with suggestions to help motivate students while practicals remain challenging.
This course has been able to run for FREE due to funding secured by Kent & Medway SLP however if you book and do not attend the course please note there will be a *£25 fee for non-attendance.
