Mastering projectiles: suvat equations RM298 / B12
The equations of uniform motion (“suvat”) are usually taught early in the A level course and can be a challenge for students, especially those not studying maths. This 90-minute course is for those new to teaching A level, or those in need of a refresher. It aims to strengthen the subject knowledge needed to teach this key topic in mechanics. You will explore ways of building student understanding and tackling misconceptions, together with techniques for teaching.
You will be able to:
• Recall and use the suvat equations in an increasingly complex set of problems
• Gain awareness of the most common misconceptions which students have in tackling suvat questions
• Be more equipped with a toolkit to guide students through this topic
This course has been able to run for FREE due to funding secured by Kent & Medway SLP however if you book and do not attend the course please note there will be a *£25 fee for non-attendance.
