Summary

This meeting will give Stoke-on-Trent Science Subject Leaders an opportunity to catch up and share experiences of teaching and learning over the extended lockdown and now the opening of schools to more students. We will also be looking at the needs of the learners moving forwards and what staff CPD will be needed to support this.

Outcomes

You will be able to:

  • Discuss experiences of teaching during lockdown
  • Share approaches to teaching and learning for Yr10 moving into Yr11

  • Identify CPD needs for all staff and how best these may be met in the current situation

  • Discuss an approach to KS2/3 transition which builds on the best practice in primary schools and the Stoke-on-Trent Science Across the City primary curriculum planning and gap mapping that is currently taking place

  • Identify KS3 curriculum development progress and needs
