T/S Chancellors Curriculum progression RE775 / F02
Summary
This short course addresses factors to consider when planning an effective KS3 curriculum. Progression to KS4 is considered as well as initial suggestions of the new Ofsted inspection framework along with other research fndings. Participants will consider how they might sequence a KS3 curriculum, focusing on their rationale for teaching order and coverage. Other factors such as development of skills through KS3 and 4, supporting disadvantaged learners and supporting long term learning are considered, with practical suggestions for each.
Outcomes
By the end of this session you will be able to:
- consider the essential features of a broad, balanced, progressive curriculum
- explore how KS3 curriculum design can support effective transition to KS4
- audit your own KS3 curriculum and identify improvements
