Teachmeet RC121 / C06
Summary
This is a local network meeting facilitated by local teachers to share good practice.
What is a TeachMeet? FREE Science specific CPD. Anyone can share great ideas they've trialled in their classrooms, a teaching resource they love, a great website, a classroom activity - whatever you like! You can ask questions or simply turn up to soak up all the great ideas and enthusiasm. It is about being engaged and inspired by our immediate colleagues and gaining a lot of networking.
What can you do? You can just come along and be a member of the audience if you like, you can give a two minute nano-presentation on one of your favourite science teaching ideas, or you can give a five minute micro-presentation on an aspect of classroom science teaching. There’s not a lot of preparation required, you just talk about something you have used and how. You don't have to be an ASE member, just enthusiastic about teaching.
Outcomes
You will:
- develop the teaching and assessment of working scientifically in your school
- develop your schemes of work/learning in order to enhance the teaching and learning of science in your school
