Practical ideas for D&T KS2 RK198 / C01
Primary design & technology is often a subject that is overlooked, sometimes due to time constraints, low confidence of teaching staff or even lack of inspiration. This course aims to tackle some of those obstacles, providing even the most apprehensive members of staff a chance to come and just 'have a go'.
You will be able to:
- Select from and use a wider range of tools and equipment to perform practical tasks; cutting using hacksaws and joining using reinforced corners.
- Select from and use a wider range of materials and components including cardboard and recycled plastic.
- Understand and use mechanical systems, for example, pulleys.
- Understand and use electrical systems, for example, series circuits incorporating switches, bulbs and motors.
