Hampshire (North East) Science leaders' network meeting RM219 / A08
Termly CPD sessions aimed at those in leadership roles in secondary Science departments and those aspiring to move into those roles soon.
January’s session will look at designing an effective curriculum. It will use the approach shared by Matthew Newberry (HMI, National Lead for Science with Ofsted) at the ASE National Conference on how schools can review and improve their science curricula, so that there is effective sequencing and progression.
Time will also be spent looking at the issues around KS4-KS5 transition, and sharing some ideas around this important area.
- Improve understanding of current developments and best practice within Science teaching
- Work collaboratively with colleagues from across the region
