Summary
This course will help science leaders take their practice to the next level by reflecting on their role and identifying ways to strengthen leadership skills. We will look at the bigger picture for primary science and consider the aims of the new Ofsted framework. Participants will refine key skills in monitoring and evaluation and explore strategies and current good practice for science teaching and learning.
Move forward in 2019/20 with an action plan to raise the profile of science and improve children’s outcomes.
Outcomes
You will:
- deepen understanding about effective science subject leadership
- explore current best practice for primary science
- refine and develop strategies for auditing and managing science across the school
- reflect on science action planning
