Summary

This course has been designed to help you explore methods to raise awareness of STEM-related career opportunities in your teaching. Discover how to interpret labour market information to inform curriculum planning, how to accurately map the curriculum to embed good careers guidance (including the Gatsby benchmarks) and to ensure that learners understand how to communicate with employers. You will also find out how to embed employability skills and use STEM Ambassadors to provide real-world contexts to lessons.

Outcomes

You will be able to:

  • understand and use labour market information to inform curriculum planning and delivery
  • embed employability skills into the curriculum
  • develop a comprehensive strategy to develop and embed good STEM careers guidance into the curriculum
