Summary
The new OFSTED framework and its emphasis on what children learn through the curriculum, makes effective curriculum design in terms of intent, implementation and impact more important than ever before.
This course will support participants to reflect on the intent, implementation and impact of their school’s primary science curriculum. It will explore different ways of ensuring good coverage and progression of subject knowledge, integrating well-planned enquiry activities which develop working scientifically skills and how to embed assessment opportunities to measure impact.
Outcomes
You will explore a range of curriculum designs, identify good practice in science teaching and learning and begin to consider the requirements of your curriculum to suit your children’s learning needs.
