Summary

Stories can be a great way to give context to a science lesson but storytelling goes one step further. If the story you tell has science woven through its heart, and the children learn to tell that story, then they also learn to tell the science.

In this session, Jules Pottle, Science Specialist Teacher and Trainer with Storytelling Schools will lead us through the process of learning to tell a story and teaching children to be storytellers. She will show how the emotional content can be used to aid learning and how to create a truly cross-curricular topic, built around a science story. This session will be practical - you’ll learn skills you can use in the classroom tomorrow - come ready to join in
