Teach meet for schools following Edexcel Science RB298 / A82
Summary
This is a ‘teach-meet’ for teachers of Edexcel GCSE sciences. The aim is to network with other teachers, to share T&L ideas, to contribute to and share Edexcel science specific teaching and revision resources.
What we will do on July 8th:
Bring two of your best printed resources – to share immediately (in the fashion of a swap-shop)
Bring electronic resources to share – sign up to our Edexcel teachers One Drive
Sub-divide into subject groups to discuss T&L strategies for the ‘tricky bits’
Discuss ideas and approaches/resources for delivering core practicals
Representatives from UCLAN who offer free of charge trips to UCLAN to enhance core practical delivery to share with us what they can offer
Goody bags for all attendees and a free year’s membership to the ASE for one lucky participant!
Outcomes
You will:
- have a number of resources to take away and use straight away in the classroom
- have access to many more resources through a one drive account to share with other colleagues in your school
- have had an opportunity to discuss teaching and learning strategies to tackle the "tricky bits" of the specification
- have a better understanding of how core practicals can be delivered with free support from the local university
