Does it matter? Teaching states of matter in primary science RJ198 / C09
Chemistry can be defined as the study of matter and how that matter can undergo change. In this hands on twilight session you will explore a number of different substances, and key concepts such as changing state. You will gain ideas of activities to use in the classroom, and how to address common misconceptions.
You will be able to:
- gain confidence in your subject knowledge and understanding of states of matter
- identify and challenge misconceptions associated with the particle model
- plan and use stimulating activities in the classroom.
