Summary
With the changes to the Key Stage 4 curriculum and demands of the new GCSE, students need to be able to apply a broad experience of science. This course focuses on the impact of the changes to Key Stage 4 and the introduction of the new Ofsted framework on Key Stage 3 curriculum design. The course will explore a range of strategies to ensure that Key Stage 3 students don’t just follow a programme of study but are taught to work as a scientist whilst building science capital.
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- Explore strategies of teaching ks3 to broaden students experience of science
- Reflect on new Ofsted framework and its implications for science curriculum
- Share strategies and network with colleagues
