Summary
The Session will focus on practical ways of teaching Key Stage 4 Physics on the topics of:
· Electricity and circuits
· Magnetism, electromagnetic induction and the motor effect
· Forces and motion
· Waves (if time permits!)
Where relevant the use and application of equations will be included.
This will have specific links to the Edexcel exam board
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- identify barriers to learning and be better equipped to support student learning
- explore and evaluate different pedagogical approaches in a selection of extension modules
- consider the effective use of practical work and/or technology in supporting teaching
