Summary
Chemistry for non-specialists: an introduction is specifically aimed at teachers who are not chemistry specialists and wish to become more confident at teaching chemistry. It will take a hands on approach to a range of topics that are being set by the different boards for GCSE with a practical element during the session.
Outcomes
By the end of the course participants will have:
- increased their understanding of chemistry topics at Key Stage 4
- increased their confidence in the teaching of chemistry
- gained awareness of relevant and interesting practical experiments and to help inspire and engage their students
