Design, Technology & Engineering Leads NW Network - session 3 RA219 / D14
Summary
Design, Technology & Engineering Leads NW Network
1.00pm to 4.30pm at Warrington Fablab - Beamont Collegiate Academy
We will spend the first session doing a needs analysis for each school and qualification. We'll identify where we can support each other and where we need to pull in exam board expertise.
External moderation opportunities and joint planning of curriculum to meet the new Ofsted criteria.
Gatsby Benchmarks and Ofsted Curriculum focussed session - John Grimshaw leads an Autodesk Masterclass (or maybe an introduction to..!). He'll lead you through 3D Design modelling and onscreen prototyping.
This will support you to enable your students to reach the higher marks on their portfolios or coursework. In addition he'll talk about opportunities and the benefits of collaboration with industry professionals to inspire your students.
Finally, for those who want to look at rapid prototyping for students in http://fablab.warrington.ac.uk/ - we can offer an optional session.
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- work collaboratively to identify priorities in science teaching and learning and in science-specific professional development for your teams
- share and develop strategies to tackle these issues, drawing on expertise as needed from outside the network
