Leadership and management skills for technical staff (module two) HC003 / J02
Summary

This programme has been designed to cover six key topics, split into two modules, linking theories of leadership and management together with workplace experiences thereby providing a more holistic approach to learning.
Delivery is through the provision of informal active learning sessions, which are intended to develop personal and professional leadership and management skills to enhance planning and delivery of services. Discovery learning forms a large part of this programme and as such collaboration amongst delegates to discuss core concepts and reflect on current practice is actively encouraged in order to create a more tailored learning experience.

- creative leadership
Throughout the programme you will be expected to apply the concepts and techniques taught to work-related situations in order to enhance your learning.
This course is recommended for people who are either currently in a team leader or management position, or moving into one soon.
We can deliver the whole course (modules one and two) together as a two day course, or you can opt to sit one module at a time. Outcomes
Aims:
- organisational culture and management of change
- develop creative thinking, problem solving and decision making skills in order to resolve conflict and manage difficult people
- introduction to the foundations of creative leadership and its key concepts including the characteristics of innovative leaders and the effects on team development

Notes
HEaTED members £180 for one module, £315 for two modules. Substantial group discounts of 15% to 25% per person are available when eight to ten delegates attend from a single member Institution. Please contact us for further information. Non-HEaTED members: £250 for one module, £450 for two modules. All prices exclude VAT which will be added at the standard rate.
