  • explore the context and constraints applying to students targeted to attain grades 1 to 3 in GCSE science at the end of their school career
  • develop an approach to teaching that will secure good progress and appropriate outcomes for these students who are low attainers
  • identify some strategies to help these learners make progress and exemplify these strategies in science teaching
