ESERO-UK secondary conference SV200 / A19
Summary
Ideal for secondary and post-16 science, computing, mathematics and D&T teachers who are interested in using space as an exciting context for learning, the annual ESERO-UK secondaryspace conference is being held alongside the UK Space Conference. Teachers will have the chance to hear from a careers panel from the space industry and take part in hands-on activities linked to the 50th anniversary of the first lunar landing, ESA's ExoMars mission, and the upcoming James Webb SpaceTelescope. You will also get the chance to see the vast array of space organisations exhibiting at the UK Space Conference.
ESA astronaut Tim Peake will be joining this careers-themed conference for a question and answer session. Tim spent six months on the International Space Station and has been workingas a European Space Agency astronaut since his selection in 2009. You will have the opportunity to ask Tim any questions you have about life as an astronaut, his time on the International Space Station or about space as a whole.
ESERO-UK is subsidising the cost of entry to the UK Space Conference for all attendees and will be providing a £50 bursary for state-funded schools and colleges in the UK.
