Summary

Teachers who are confident in their subject knowledge will explore acknowledged benefits of active and collaborative approaches to learning at A level. Working with others, you will refresh your teaching and learning strategies to improve you students' understanding of core concepts and will be able to encourage independent and collaborative learning.

Outcomes

You will be able to:

  • understand more about the researched benefits of active learning approaches
  • draw on a wider range of techniques, strategies and pedagogies to improve your students’ knowledge and understanding of core concepts
  • facilitate both collaborative and independent learning in your A level classes
