Summary

Triple Science Support Programme

This course is open to all state maintained secondary schools including those not participating in the Triple Science Support Programme. It is designed to help teachers develop pupils’ understanding of the big ideas that run through science. By understanding the big ideas, pupils should be better able to think at a higher level; apply and develop their ideas more broadly and succeed at terminal exams.  There will be opportunities to share ideas with other participants to find out how different schools address this area. The course supports the overall aims of the Triple Science Support Programme.

Outcomes

• Teachers have increased awareness of and ability to teach the big ideas that run through Science support progress in the new GCSE science
