Are you looking for fresh ideas to progress science in your school?

This conference covers a range of topics to help you do exactly this.

You will attend 3 workshops:

  • ‘Working scientifically’ where you will learn how to implement strategies for planning, resourcing and organising a range of types of enquiry.
  • ‘Assessment and progression’ will examine how to identify ways to integrate and embed assessment practices into your science teaching
  • ‘Promoting thinking and talking’ or ‘Girls in science’ – you can choose which topic is most relevant to you.

There will be ambassadors from STEM and PSQM on hand to address your queries and share best practice.

Outcomes

  • You will be confident in using the strategies learnt to progress your pupils’ scientific enquiry and how to teach them to use enquiry to explore the world around them.
  • You will gain knowledge of effective Assessment for Learning and acquire a deeper understanding of pupil progression.
