Summary

This short twilight course is aimed at helping schools develop children’s science capital through the development of home school science activities.

The session will look at a range of approaches to engage children and their families in science through low and no cost activities and challenges. Participants will get the chance to try out some activities, create an action plan and take away 10 sample kits to replicate back in school.

If you are trying to raise the profile of science, encourage science at home then join us for an action packed 1 ½ hours which will give you lots to take back to try in your own school.

Outcomes

 You will:

  • create a development plan in this area
  • be able to plan for your science department and school
