Summary

Research from “KS3 The wasted years?” (Ofsted 2015) suggests that students fail to make the appropriate progress during the early years of Secondary Education. This conference will provide the opportunity to work with your families of schools to discuss what effective transition looks like and to plan a curriculum which enables all pupils to progress in their key scientific skills, knowledge and concepts.
“Leaders of successful schools set the right culture for learning that is embraced by their pupils from the outset. They have a clear understanding of pupils’ achievements in primary school and build on them from day one.”

This conference is suitable for all science leads within Primary & Secondary Schools/Academies & teachers with responsibility for transition within their schools.
Secondary schools to be encouraged to coordinate inviting their cluster of feeders so that real action planning can take place at the session.
