Summary

The facilitator development programme is our flagship approach to recruiting and developing suitable facilitators for a teacher and school-led national CPD programme.

This course is designed to equip school based colleagues (teachers and technicians) with the skills to become an effective facilitator of subject specific CPD. It explores in detail the research and ideas about what makes effective CPD and how its impact can be evaluated. To help provide quality assurance and ensure consistency of delivery across the National STEM Learning Network, STEM Learning has launched a new accreditation scheme for facilitators of STEM-specific CPD. This scheme ensures we have a quick and easy means for existing facilitators to apply for accreditation, as well as having a programme in place to support new facilitators and develop the skills of those who wish to do more (in part 2 – RE204 H06)
