Challenge for more able to concentrate on deep learning and mastery of scientific enquiry.
Session 1 – strategies and models to incorporate mastery and challenge of scientific enquiry skills into the Summer term curriculum (LPDS scheme)

Staff split off and begin planning for Summer term.
Session 2 – teaching assistants. How to pre teach vocab and other ways to scaffold and support SEN students for the activities shared in session 1. (15 TAs)
Session 3 – TAs join teachers to joint plan. Consultant circulates to offer support and guidance where required.
Session 4 – Summary where staff meet and share the plans they have put in place.
Outcomes
High ability students are challenged in science lessons and are able to achieve above expected progress
Staff are more confident in their delivery of scientific enquiry
