Light and the electromagnetic spectrum RC201 / H21
Summary
The aim of this course is to enable teachers and technicians of physics to explore a range of ideas for teaching topics across the physics curriculum. Through hands-on activities you will undertake new and established strategies and relevant practical techniques to make students' learning more effective.
You will explore:
- frequency and wavelength
- sound waves
- transverse and longitudinal waves
- electromagnetic waves
- effect of temperature of a black body
- object on its wave
- length distribution graph
- harmful effects of electromagnetic radiation
- uses of electromagnetic radiation
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- develop an understanding of the nature, purpose and importance of practical work in physics lessons
