Summary

Working scientifically is a very significant component of the new science GCSE's examinations. This course will give delegates the opportunity to consider how to deliver the required/core practicals effectively and how best to develop their students understanding so that they not only can perform well in the examinations but find science a more engaging and stimulating experience throughout.

 

 

Outcomes

You will be able to:

  • Develop an increased understanding of the role and importance of practical work in science lessons and the relationship between subject content and working scientifically.
  • Employ practical strategies and techniques to teach science more effectively
  • Develop an understanding of the required GCSE practicals and their assessment.
