Summary

This free online course aims to help teachers in primary and secondary schools, especially those who previously taught other subjects including ICT.

Designed with Master Teachers from Computing at School it combines subject knowledge and pedagogy to help you teach great computing lessons.

Over six weeks, you’ll develop the skills you need for success in computing, with advice about planning, teaching and learning, assessment and policy. The courses touches on teaching younger learners as well as those with SEND. It includes digital literacy and online identity, as well as safeguarding issues. You'll learn about beginning the teaching of programming, and find out about the wider support network from Computing at School.

Throughout, you will have the chance to work with other teachers and experts in a flexible, self-paced learning environment.
