Summary

The course will be broken down into a mixture of lectures and practical exercises.

  • the International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium portal
  • identifying relevant mouse models of human disease
  • introduction to genomic resources including genome browsers, expression data and epigenetic data
  • phenotypes, data and ontologies in the context of IMPC

Laptops and course materials will be provided.

Outcomes

The outcomes of this course are:

  • knowledge of the IMPC portal and its features
  • knowledge of how to extract data and phenotypes from the IMPC portal
  • how to find genetic models for human disease
  • introduction to linking mouse genomic data from Ensembl, MGI and ENCODE to mouse phenotype data
