Summary
The course will be broken down into a mixture of lectures and practical exercises.
- the International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium portal
- identifying relevant mouse models of human disease
- introduction to genomic resources including genome browsers, expression data and epigenetic data
- phenotypes, data and ontologies in the context of IMPC
Laptops and course materials will be provided.
Outcomes
The outcomes of this course are:
- knowledge of the IMPC portal and its features
- knowledge of how to extract data and phenotypes from the IMPC portal
- how to find genetic models for human disease
- introduction to linking mouse genomic data from Ensembl, MGI and ENCODE to mouse phenotype data
