Summary

This activity is aimed at curriculum leaders or other leaders of science (SLE, lead practitioner, second in charge). It is open to all institutions and relevant to those delivering secondary level qualifications in science.

The day provides an opportunity to receive updates relating to science at a local and national level, network and collaborate with colleagues and engage with professional development activities around leadership and teaching.

Outcomes

You will be able to:

  • identify solutions to current challenges in particular with regards to implementing the new GCSE
  • work collaboratively to identify priorities in science teaching and learning
  • share and develop strategies to tackle these issues
  • consider effective strategies for developing your team
