Summary

In the right hands, Revit can be a powerful Building Information Modelling tool. In this course, you will be introduced to the concept of Building Information Modelling (BIM) itself, as well as the basics of Autodesk Revit Architecture. Using hands-on exercises in both imperial and metric to represent real-world situations, you will learn to be a competent Revit user, able to deal with architectural design scenarios from various points of view.

This course covers the basics of Autodesk Revit Architecture. You will be introduced to the concepts of Building Information Modeling and the tools for parametric building design and documentation. Users begin with learning the fundamental features of Autodesk Revit Architecture, and then progress through schematic design, construction documentation, and design visualisation. This course offers both imperial and metric hands-on exercises representing real-world architectural design scenarios.

Recommended for new Autodesk Revit Architecture users or other Autodesk software users who want to learn essential elements of Autodesk Revit Architecture.

Knowledge of Architectural design, drafting, or engineering experience is recommended. No previous CAD experience is necessary; however a working knowledge of Microsoft windows is essential.

Outcomes

You will learn the concepts of Building Information Modelling and introduce the tools for parametric building design and documentation using Autodesk Revit Architecture. After completing this class, you will be able to complete your first Autodesk Revit Architecture project.
