Medway Cluster's iSTEM+ aligned projects for Tomorrow's Engineers Week #TEWeek16
Please find attached three cross-curricular projects which will be used to launch Kent's first iSTEM+ cluster at Rainham Mark Education Trust in Medway. The projects were designed by the Year 12 Engineering Society, to challenge their colleagues from across the curriculum in Years 10, 11 and 13. They will take place at bespoke "off-curriculum" project days during Tomorrow's Engineers Week, 7 to 11 November 2016.
The projects are based around the themes of Human-Computer Interaction and Hardware-Software Interaction. They use Pi, Microbit and Arduino with robot arms, buggies and ultrasonics. More importantly they relate these themes to wider society, multiple stakeholders and other areas of the curriculum including literacy, history, PE, music, geography and citizenship. If you want further information please let me know.
And please get in touch if you want to add value to iSTEM+ in Kent's schools!
