Advanced Mathematics Teaching in Early Career

During the very successful New to Teaching A level Maths Summer School at which over 50 teachers spent four days at the National STEM Learning Centre exploring strategies to deliver engaging A level lessons, many of the participants expressed the need to 'brush-up' on certain areas of the mathematics curriculum. We highlighted courses such as MEI's Teaching Statistics and Teaching Mechanics. In addition,  Nicola Bretscher at the Institute of Education are offering an on-line course entitled "Advanced Mathematics Teaching in Early Career" which is being offered free to teachers in their ITE or NQT year. For more details see the attached.
