Robot Wars , Robotics and Engineering ENTHUSE funded CPD

For anyone who is interested in using robots as inspiration for lessons, there are a few ENTHUSE funded CPD events coming up in the next few weeks that might be worth a look!

 

Using robot wars as inspiration for STEM subjects: 14th  or 15th May & 10th July **2 days left to book**BURSARY FUNDED**

This is a one of a kind robot CPD. Travel to Glasgow to see Robot Wars live! With generous bursary funding to help with transport to the Robot Wars arena - you will get to meet the teams, watch some robot battles, go backstage and see the arena + house robots. Everyone that attends will become part of a teacher group, developing the next range of Robot Wars resources to be made freely available to schools across the UK. Free loan of VEX robotics kit is available as well, for anyone schools  who want to try and build their own robot back in the classroom!

VEX IQ: integrating robotics into your curriculum: 16th & 17th June **BURSARY FUNDED**

Get the inspiration and equipment to help you deliver subject content in computing, science, design and technology, and mathematics using the VEX IQ robotics platform. No previous experience in programming is necessary. You will receive a VEX IQ Super Kit to use when back in school, enabling you to continue your robotics journey and compete in the VEX IQ Challenge.

Teaching engineering in the primary classroom: 6th & 7th June **BURSARY FUNDED**

Engineering shapes and maintains the world we live in. With technology evolving at such an astounding pace, we have a responsibility to introduce children to engineering experiences at an early age to help inspire our engineers of the future.

This primary course is aimed at teachers and members of leadership who would like to learn how to incorporate engineering thinking skills into the curriculum.
