This course is designed for people who have a fluorescence microscope in their lab and want to know more about maintaining and getting the best out of it.
The course will cover:
Basic microscopy
- How the microscope works
- How to look after them
- How to process samples for immunofluorescence.
Digital microscopy
- How the camera works
- How to get the best images
- Image processing basics (using a free software package)
- How to process the images and get some useful numbers from them not just a picture.
