BBC Micro:bit – some data-logging and control examples.

While the BBC micro:bit has been designed to be used as a stand-alone device, it can also communicate with other software, such as Tera Term, Excel and Scratch, exchanging data along a USB cable or wirelessly. This article explores simple ways to do this using the MS MakeCode editor in Blocks mode. As an example, it demonstrates how to send live sensor data from one micro:bit wirelessly to another, which passes it via USB to the MS Excel spreadsheet for graphing and analysis, thus implementing telemetry. Alternative approaches are explored.
