I have a BSc and a PhD in Biochemistry and I worked for a few years as a research scientist on various cutting-edge projects including on skin cancer, pre-eclampsia and Alzheimer’s disease. Later, I retrained as a primary teacher and I taught in primary schools in Devon for 10 years and have been science & maths subject leader.
In 2014, I became a Fellow of the Primary Science Teaching Trust's (PSTT) Teacher College. Since 2016, I have been a PSTT Area Mentor and have supported primary teachers and trainees in the South West. Since 2018, I have worked for the PSTT as Website Resources Developer and I am responsible for revising and writing resources for the PSTT website.
