Find a STEM Ambassador for your activity

Participating in the STEM Ambassador programme is easier than ever via the STEM Ambassador website, designed to put you in control of your STEM Ambassador experience.

You can register and request a STEM Ambassador through the website whenever you want and wherever you are.

Who are STEM Ambassadors?

STEM Ambassadors are volunteers from a wide range of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) related jobs and disciplines across the UK. They offer their time and enthusiasm to help bring STEM subjects to life and demonstrate the value of them in life and careers.

How do I use the website to engage with STEM Ambassadors?

Registering and requesting a STEM Ambassador via the website is quick and easy. You can access the website on your smartphone, tablet or PC whenever it's convenient.

Step by step process to finding a STEM Ambassador for your activity

“It’s been brilliant for trying to get people to come in, if I need something it takes me two minutes to get the activity I want and then I get a response quickly” – Martin Sexton,  Mildenhall College Academy

“Absolutely straightforward, it’s the second one I’ve done, and it took me a matter of minutes” - Lois Horner, Thornhill Community Academy

Once published, your volunteering opportunity (activity) will be accessible to STEM Ambassadors searching for local activities, 24 hours a day. Using the website means a wider range of STEM Ambassadors can see what support you need. This allows you to bring different people, with different backgrounds and skills into your school or youth and community group, providing a range of role models for the young people you work with.

You will also be able to feedback about your experience, helping you, your organisation and us know what impact STEM Ambassadors are having.

To help you get the best out of your STEM Ambassador website experience, we have produced some short videos. These videos help guide you through the process including some hints and tips.
