Support for community and youth group leaders
We work with community and youth groups across London, to ensure they are able to access STEM Ambassador support and engage young people in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
We can help you to support STEM education in your local community and provide enrichment opportunities for young people, to inspire them to achieve more and progress further.
The STEM Ambassadors programme is made possible by the generous funding of the Government which means those who work with young people can access this invaluable resource free-of-charge.
What we can do for you
STEM Ambassadors offer their time and enthusiasm to help bring STEM subjects to life and demonstrate their value in life and careers. Our team can work with you to find STEM Ambassadors local to you that can support your group’s activities and engagement and help to make a real difference. Examples of the types of activities in which our volunteers can support you are coaching or judging competitions, participating in local fairs or events and offering specialist topic or careers talks.
If you are interested in receiving support for any STEM-related activity you are planning or want to plan, you can request for a STEM Ambassador with the skills to help you. Contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org and a member of our team will be in touch.
“STEM Ambassadors are a hugely beneficial enrichment to support the young people who we work with. Many underrepresented young people don’t have positive role models or exposure to people within the STEM sectors and their experience can make a huge difference to young people’s attitude towards STEM and achieving their own ambitions.”
Jamie Lee Brett, STEM Development Executive, The Prince's Trust
