STEM Ambassador Coordinator - London EC2V

Salary: Circa £26,000 plus pension and benefits

We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with excellent relationship management skills.

Your advanced stakeholder liaison, IT, projects and report writing skills will underpin your role, and enable you to engage successfully across a busy landscape. An understanding and knowledge of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education, schools/colleges, community groups and skills issues across the London landscape will be advantageous.

Our volunteer STEM Ambassadors are at the heart of all we do. An appreciation of volunteer management as well as experience of working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including a breadth of employers across the London region will be key.

Your career experience to date may have been gained from a variety of settings and you will have strong all round communication skills including the ability to deliver engaging presentations.

As part of a team of four coordinators, colleagues and external stakeholders you will deliver a dynamic, effective and efficient programme.

The National STEM Learning Centre and Network is a key UK resource for supporting STEM teaching and learning through provision of CPD, resources, online communities in partnership with a wide range of organisations and individuals. This includes driving forward ongoing development of the STEM Ambassadors and STEM Clubs programmes alongside subject-specific support for all involved in the teaching of science, technology, engineering and mathematics to young people.

Remuneration and benefits

Salary Circa £26k dependent on experience. Appointment to this role enables access to the USS pension scheme, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays and a wide range of staff benefits.
