We deliver professional development courses for teachers across England, via a network of delivery partners.
| What is the National Centre for Computing Education?
In November 2018, we partnered with Raspberry Pi and BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT to set up The National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE). Backed by the Department for Education, our goal is to inspire and support teachers in delivering the new computing curriculum and to help establish computer science as a foundational subject across all key stages.
| What is our purpose?
Technology is constantly evolving and we have a responsibility to equip all young people with the tools and understanding to navigate technological change. 2014 marked a switch from ICT to a new computing curriculum that goes way beyond machines and focuses on ideas and principles. Our objective is to fund, inspire and develop as many teachers as possible in the disciplines of computing and enable them to bring the new curriculum to life in their classrooms.
| What do we offer?
A comprehensive mix of professional development opportunities in the form of face-to-face and online courses.
We offer bursaries that cover the cost of time away from your classroom.
LOCAL COMPUTING HUBS
