Educational practices - improving achievement in mathematics
This UNESCO booklet summarizes the mathematics chapter from the 'Handbook of research on improving student achievement', published by the Educational Research Service.
The handbook highlights research on effective teaching and learning practices. The practices included reflect both emerging strategies and practices in long-term use. The booklet briefly summarise the research supporting each practice, describes how the research can be applied in the classroom, and lists the most important studies that support the practice. A complete list of references is provided at the end of the booklet.
