Direct Proportion

This interactive excel file has separate sheets which deal with direct proportion where the functions are linear, quadratic, cubic and square root.

Each sheet begins with a statement of the proportional relationship, the formula with the constant of proportionality and data so that the constant can be calculated. The student then substitutes given values in order to answer further questions. Tables of values and graphs illustrate each of the proportional relationships. Answers can be revealed and new questions generated.

The particular example leading to A=πr2 is dealt with in a similar format on a separate sheet.

The final interactive sheet shows sets of mixed questions with answers available.

There are a further four sheets of questions which may be suitable for use in the classroom.
