Physics in action
Physics. What is it? What is it to do with you? Does it affect you? What do physicists do? How do they do it? Can you 'do' physics?
These questions cannot be answered in a sentance, or even a page of writing. It takes a book to begin to answer these questions - this book.
There are plenty more questions on the the pages that follow. Whenever you see a question mark - ? - in this book think about the question being asked and try to write answer. At the end of each chapter there are a few more 'Further questions'.
You will also see photos of four pupils of your age: Fiona, Jilian, Mike and Paul. They are there to show you how to carry out some of the experiments.
