Electricity 2: electromagnetism

This book describes applications of work on electromagnetic fields and electromagnetic induction in GCSE syllabuses. It describes industrial testing of components by magnetic methods, the controlling of machinery by relays and solenoids and by electromagnetic clutches and brakes, production of a.c. by a portable 5 kW generator and construction of a 2 kW transformer. Carefully graded questions and numerical problems are included.
