Mathematics teaching: primary supplement
This supplement comprises a collection of articles and ideas for the classroom which will be of particular interest to teachers of children in the 5 to 11-year-old age range. The first two articles discuss some of those important general issues which the present public debate raises. The rest of the supplement is concerned more directly with the mathematics that is possible in the primary school; there are accounts of teachers and children at work, and a collection of mathematical activities to try out in the classroom.
