Visual perception

Astronauts, and especially spacecraft commanders, must take in a huge amounts of information from displays and screens. Small changes in this information might indicate important changes that should be addressed, and missing the signs may have important consequences.

This simple activity challenges students to react to small changes in the display, simulating conditions for astronauts in the classroom.

The Python code to run this activity on a BBC micro:bit can be found here. You will need to install the latest version of the Mu editor in order to compile and run it, after copying the code into the editor.
