Human being as circuit board, human being as dictionary
This resource is based on the Inventive podcast. The podcast mixes engineering fact with fiction. Each podcast features an interview with an engineer. In this activity, electronics design engineer Shrouk El-Attar is the inspiration for Tania Hershman to write 'Human Being as Circuit board, Human Being as Dictionary'.
Short audio clips about the engineer provides context and can be played during a lesson. Students may wish to listen to the whole podcast in their own time using a QR code. This resource would be useful in a cross-curricular collaboration between science and English departments. The resource also brings in personal development and PSHE ideas about refugees and LGBTQ+ issues.
